They grow up SO fast...

Taking a break from a long post because today is a very special day for two reasons...

Today, my "baby" James is exactly one month away from being THREE!!! That is so hard to believe... He's been in swim lessons all this week and he's doing awesome. Here are a few recent pics of him:

James practiced jumping in and swimming back to the wall today in his swim lesson. He does NOT like the water jets in the pool for some reason, so he's always concerned about where they are in relation to where he's jumping in.

He even got to the point this week where he's diving down to get things like this big letter S (usually with some help). Coach Jerry is just hoping James doesn't clunk him in the head with it in this picture.

On our bed for our nightly "bedtime routine" James is trying to decide which flavor Jelly Belly he wants next. (Thank you "Aunt Elaine" for the jelly beans!) We reward him about every 5 questions as he answers his catechism questions so that he keeps going and stays focused. (Now that he's up to #35, it takes a while each night.) Rebekah is hopefully paying attention so she can try to do as well as her brother when her turn comes.

And Rebekah is exactly 18 weeks old today... on the 18th of June--how cool is that?!? I really can't believe how much she has grown in that time! She is far from the 6 lb. 2 oz. peanut we brought home from the hospital, that's for sure! In fact, she's a little more than doubled her weight and she's getting rolls where her wrists used to be and on her thighs. She's also learned a new trick this week--she started rolling from her back to her stomach! Definitely a real "go getter" (especially compared to her brother at this age). She has really found her voice lately, too. She goes on an on sometimes babbling and it's such a sweet, sweet sound! Here are some recent pics of her:

Trying to turn over yesterday from her back to her stomach. She was so close in this pic, but she did actually get it later! Yea, Rebekah! She rolled from her stomach to her back a while ago on softer surfaces, but just really got it in the last couple weeks on harder ones, too.

Check out those rolls on her thighs... and wrists! You can really see them as she sits in the tub for a bath at Grandmommy and Pops' house. She's also teething like crazy (and has been for about a month already), which explains the fist full of washcloth trying to get into her mouth.
